Obituary

Addie M., daughter of Soloman and Sarah J. Garrett, was born in Adair county, Iowa, October 23, 1867.

She grew to womanhood in this vicinity and was married December 24th, 1899, to Frank Lowden.

To this union was born three children, Osa, Alma and Mamie.

For the past year she has been a great sufferer from that dread foe, tuberculosis, but has been an example of patience and cheerfulness to those attending her and especially to those of her immediate household. She expressed a desire to go, and said that she was ready for the summons.

Besides husband and children three sisters, Mrs. Ella J. Wise of Winterset; Mrs. Emma Moffitt, Livingston, Montana, and Mrs. Frances Mapes, Supply, Oklahoma; and one brother John Garrett, Adair county, Iowa survive her.

Her death, which occurred at 1:40 Tuesday morning, April 26, 1910, deprives her husband of a loving companion, her children of a devoted mother and her family and neighbors of a loving sister and a sympathetic friend.

Funeral services were held at the home April 27th, conducted by Rev. J. E. Clearwater, and interment made in Robert’s cemetery.
