Page 4Obituary of Fred Edwards
Fredrick Irvin Edwards, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Edwards, was born near Kasson, Madison County, Iowa, April 10, 1877, and died March 11, 1910. Fred has been an invalid for several years, often suffering intensely, but generally very patient. He was a sunny, hopeful, loveable, disposition, more often thinking of the comforts and happiness of his loved ones than of his own.
All that loving devotion and money could do to relieve his affliction and weary years of invalidism has been done; but only a peaceful death could relieve his sufferings.
The funeral was held at the beautiful home of his parents Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock which was largely attended by the friends and neighbors of the family. The services were conducted by Rev. M. E. Atwood, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Winterset, and the male quartette sang three well rendered and appropriate songs. Interment was made in the Rock City cemetery.
