Mrs. L. D. Moorman died at her home in this city Wednesday morning after a long illness. The funeral will be held in the M.E. church Friday afternoon at three o’clock.

Mrs. Anna Dodd Moorman departed this life April 14, 1909. She was born Oct. 31, 1854. She was the mother of three sons and three daughters, and leaves a husband, two sons and two daughters to mourn her loss.
She was an upright Christian lady and tried to set a Godly example before her family. She has lived in Winterset for four or five years. Prior to this time she lived in Ohio township. Her parents were G. H. and Harriett Elizabeth Dodd, at one time residents of Winterset. All her family were present at the funeral excepting one brother and one sister. Those present were G. W. Dodd, of Des Moines, Mrs. Lewis Graves, of Des Moines and Mrs. Beth Mills and children, of Indianola.

Mrs. Lacey Moorman died early Wednesday morning, at the family home on North Polk Street after a long and painful illness. She was taken ill about six months ago with a complication of glandular and spinal trouble, which refused to yield to medical skill.
The funeral will be held from the Methodist church on Friday at 3 p. m. and burial in the Winterset cemetery.

Page 4Mrs. Amanda Dodd Moorman was born at Osceola, Iowa, October 31, 1854 and departed this life, April 14, 1909, aged 54 years, 5 months and 13 days. The deceased was the daughter of G. P. and Harriett Dodd, who were at one time, residents of this place. She was an upright Christian and tried to set a good example for her family. She was for many years a member of the Friends church.
On Jan. 1st, 1871, she was married to H. D. Moorman, who survives her. Their surviving children are: L. D. Moorman, of Winterset, T. C. Moorman, of Truro, Mrs. Melvin Smith, of St. Charles and Mrs. W. A. King of Pyor Creek, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Moorman leaves a host of friends in Winterset, where she and her husband have lived for the past five years. Prior to that time they lived in the south part of the county.
