Dawn Marie Genter-Ashby, 35, of Glidden died April 6, 2010, at her home.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 8, at the United Methodist Church in Glidden with the Rev. Jessica Rockhold Gaul officiating. Burial was at Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden. Dawn Genter-Ashby was born July 31, 1974, in Carroll to Jim and Joy (Stuhr) Genter. She grew up in Glidden and Omaha, graduating from North High School in Omaha in 1993. Her marriage to Michael Ashby of Winterset took place in 1999.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mildred and Amos Stuhr and Robert Genter.
She is survived by one son, Robert Daniel Genter of Houston, Texas, and formerly of Glidden; one daughter, Michael Noel Ashby of Glidden; her father and his wife, Jim and Janet Genter of Glidden; her mother, Joy Savoie of Glidden; her paternal grandmother, Letha Genter of Carroll; a brother, Mike Genter of Glidden; and three sisters, Bobbi Nielsen of Shakopee, Minn., Tammi Marsh of Ankeny, and Valerie Tegeler of Houston, Texas.
