Wednesday, July 25, 2001ROCKFORD - Vera Ann Seeling, 72, of Rockford died at 8:20 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2001, in SwedishAmerican Hospital.
Born Sept. 2, 1928, in Macksburg, Iowa, daughter of Lawrence and Cleo Pincney Summers. Married Richard L. Seeling in Belvidere on Oct. 23, 1948.
Employed part time at LKG Industries. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She also was a volunteer tutor for Rockford Literacy Council.
Survivors include sons Richard (Peggy) Seeling and Thomas (Melissa) Seeling of Rockford daughters Patricia (Paul) Carlson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Pamela (James) Davis of Roscoe, Suzanne (Craig) Blixt of Rockford, Alice Thompson of Janesville, Wis., and Rebecca Seeling of Rockford 11 grandchildren three great-grandchildren sister, Nona Tuller of Beloit, Wis. and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Richard, on April 6, 1996 a grandchild and two brothers.
Services at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, with the Rev. Denver Bitner, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Cremation rites to be accorded private inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 26, in the funeral home. Memorials to be established.
