Death of FINLEY McDONALD

Finley McDonald, Sr., died at his home in Des Moines on last Friday following a stroke of apoplexy. He was stricken at four o'clock and died four hours later.

The deceased was a resident of this county for several years, prior to moving to Des Moines about two years ago. He came to this county from Jones county, where he was an early settler and until his removal to Des Moines, owned and lived on the old Newlon farm north of Winterset.

He is survived by his wife and four children, Duncan, Finley, John F. of Des Moines and Mrs.B. A. McGinnes, of this county. The youngest son, John F. was stricken with paralysis a few weeks ago and is still in a serious condition though much improved.
