Winterset

Jean Lehman, 86, of Winterset, died Thursday at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at McCalley - Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
The body has been cremated with the cremains being interred in the Winterset Cemetery.

She had been a lifetime resident of Winterset and had worked at the former Bethesda Care Center in the laundry room and as a housekeeper.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Tami Little; son, Cory (Shelley) Lehman; brothers, Bob Allen and Wayne Allen; sister, Vivian Orr all of Winterset; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Lehman.

Family will receive friends Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to her family for a future designation.

EMOGENE LEHMAN, WINTERSET

Emogene “Jean” Lehman, 86, of Winterset, Iowa, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

emorial services were held Monday, March 22, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Rev. Dr. Beverlee Bell officiating. The body was cremated, with the cremains being interred in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to her family for a future designation.

Jean was born on March 5, 1924, in Madison County, Iowa, to Charles and Anna (Hildebrand) Allen. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1942 and was married on Sept. 17, 1942, in Princeton, Mo., to Albert Charles Lehman. Jean, a lifetime resident of Winterset, had worked as a child care provider, egg candler, and in the laundry room and as a housekeeper at the former Bethesda Care Center.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Tami Little of Winterset; son, Cory (Shelley) Lehman of Winterset; brothers, Bob Allen of Winterset and Wayne Allen of Winterset; sister, Vivian Orr of Winterset; grandchildren, Tiffany (Steve) Roberts, Fidelity (Scott) Holder, Kyle (Olivia) Lehman, and Trevor Lehman; and great-grandchildren, Zachary Holder, Emma Holder, Sidney Roberts, Georgia Lehman, and Wyatt Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna (Hildebrand) Allen; husband, Al Lehman; sisters, Doris Olson, Margaret Flesher, and Eldora Parker; sister-in-law, Helen Allen; niece, Kathy Anna Allen; and nephew, Phillip Allen.
