REBECCA ALICE WILSON

Alice, the thirteen year old daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Chas H. Wilson, passed away on last Thursday after a long illness attended with much suffering. Her ailment dates from about three years ago, though her condition became much worse about six weeks ago and it is generally believed that her death was due to tuberculosis of the bowels. Funeral services were held from the home on Sunday afternoon, the services being in charge of her pastor, Rev. Wilbur ReQua.

Rebecca Alice Wilson, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Chas W. Wilson was born in Winterset, Iowa, Dec. 9, 1893 and died May 9, 1907, aged 13 years and 5 months.

She was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church in Mason City, Iowa, two years ago. Her gentle manner and sweet loving disposition endeared her to all with whom she came in contact. In the home she was always thoughtful and helpful and in her school an honest, faithful student, a favorite alike with classmates and teachers. She was a child of unusual talent and promise, exhibiting marked gifts with her brush and pencil. She was enraptured with nature and the beautiful, in love with God and his works.

She was taken dangerously ill Easter Sunday and through all the long days of weary suffering she has been most patient and uncomplaining. To her grandmother, Mrs. Rebecca Stiles and her grandfather, J. T. Wilson, she was the embodiment of all that was lovable and in her last illness, her father, mother and sister attended her with the most untiring devotion.
