Death of Mrs. Susan A. Lindsey

The body of Mrs. Susan A. Lindsey was brought here from New Concord, Ohio this morning.

Mrs, Lindsey was on of the county's old settlers, she with her husband, William Lindsey, having come to Madison county over thirty-five years ago. For fifteen years they made their home in Jefferson township, then moved to Douglas where they remained until they moved to town.

'Uncle Billy' Lindsey died four or five years ago. Last fall Mrs. Lindsey went to New Concord, Ohio, to spend the winter with relatives. She was getting ready to start home when she was taken seriously ill and died after a few days illness.

She was one of the true pioneer women of Madison county and was really honored and respected by those who knew her.

The funeral services were held at the U.P. church this morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. T. V. Dugan.
