FORMER RESIDENT IS DEAD AT BAGLEY

Robert Lee Deal Had Lived at Winterset Until 1916

Robert Lee Deal, a resident of near Winterset for many years died Aug. 15 at his home near Bagley, where he had lived since 1916. He was 69 years of age.

Mr. Deal was born Sept. 27, 1875, near Bloomington, Ill., the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Deal. The family moved to Minnesota while he was still a child and when he was 18 years old he came to Winterset.

He was married here March 1, 1898, to Minnie Sarah Young. They lived here until 1916, when they moved to Bagley; Mrs. Deal died in 1937.

Mr. Deal is survived by three children, Edna at home, and Robert and Floyd, both of Bagley. He also leaves three brothers, William Deal of Colorado, Frank Deal of Jefferson, and Charles Deal of Tracy, Minn.; four sisters, Lillie Deal of Jefferson, Mrs. Jennie Rogers of Des Moines, Mrs. May McNeal of Des Moines, and Mrs. Lidia Young of Jefferson.

Funeral services were held Aug. 17 from the Bagley Methodist church. Burial was made in the Jefferson Cemetery.
