St. CharlesThe funeral of Mrs. Athy, of Nebraska, occurred on Monday at 12 a.m. Her body arrived on the morning train and was taken to the Methodist church where services were held by Rev. Rarick, after which she was buried in the St. Charles cemetery.

St Charles and Vicinity NewsL. N. Hollingsworth and wife of Kearney, Nebraska, accompanied the remains of Mrs. Athy, the lady’s mother, who died at their home. The funeral occurred on Monday from the M. E. Church, Rev. Ra ___ officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Hollingsworth will visit with relatives a few days before returning home.

St. Charles and Vicinity NewsTwo funerals on Sunday were prepared for both of old pioneer ladies who have lived here for many years, but were away at time of death. Mrs. L. C. Hughes died at her late home in New Virginia on Friday afternoon and the remains were laid to rest in the St. Charles cemetery on Sunday afternoon.
The remains of Mrs. Athy, who died at the home of her son near Kearney, Nebraska, was expected here in time for burial on Sunday, but was delayed to the extent of being compelled to remain in Osceola over Sunday, the funeral being Monday.
