Word has been received here of the death of Maurice Cleveland in a hospital in Van Nuys, California on December 5th. He had been ill for several months.
He was born in Madison County June 4, 1926, the son of Roy and Hazel Cleveland, moving to California about 30 years ago. He was a veteran of World War II.
Funeral services and burial were held in California.
He is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. Hazel Cleveland, of Winterset, as sister, Mrs. Robert (Wilma) Smith of New York and a brother, Forest Cleveland of Texarkana, Arkansas.
