Hattie Gripp Funeral Tuesday

Services for Mrs. Hattie B. Gripp, of --- --- were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15 at the United Methodist Church in St. Charles with Rev. Rolland Towell officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.

Mrs. Gripp died Sunday, May 13 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital. Born December 21, 1887, at Lincoln, Neb., she was the daughter of Robert and -- Mae Plummer Heath.

She attended Ringgold County schools and was married to Harvey Gripp in Des Moines on Dec. 25, 1910.

She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, Gripp - Williams Post, St. Charles Garden Club, and the United Methodist Church at St. Charles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a granddaughter and two sisters, Happy and Lena.

Surviving are two daughters, Lola Bennington, of Winterset and Dorris Reed, of Truro; two sons, R. I. (Pete), of Mason City and L. E. (Bus) of Webster City; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
