Mrs. E. W. Duff died at her home in this city last Sunday afternoon at four o’clock. She leaves a husband and six children, a mother and two sisters. The bereaved have the sympathy of the entire community, in their sad affliction.
John Smith and wife, of Waterloo, Ia., were called to the bedside of Mrs. Smith’s sister, Mrs. E. W. Duff.
Miss Mamie McManus, of Chicago, was called here on account of her sisters illness, but she did not arrive in time to see her alive.

Mrs. Ed Duff, of Bevington, died on Sunday, August 30th, and was buried in the Calvary cemetery, near Churchville, on Tuesday, Sept. 1st. Mrs. Duff was the daughter of Felix McMannus, who was a merchant in Bevington for many years, and known and respected in this community.
She leaves a husband and six very young children to mourn her loss; the youngest of the children was only three days old when she died.
A very large funeral followed her remains to the grave.
