Page 1Shot Himself
James P. Ford, a son of L. S. Ford, shot himself at his home in Arcadia, Neb., on March 2nd, dying on the following Saturday. His remains were buried at Arcadia. “Jim” as he was familiarly known by his friends here, lived the most of his life in Madison Co., going to Nebraska some three or four years ago. We have been unable to learn the full particulars but will give them next week.

Page 1, Column 2Death of James Ford
Word was received by relatives of the death of James Ford, of Arcadia, Neb., formerly of this city. The particulars have not all been learned at this time; but a letter came telling of his having bought a revolver in town and driving out to his brother's, J. P. Ford's, where he made his home, and retiring to the barn he shot himself. He walked into the house and told his brother what he had done. It was at first thought he would recover but after living for several days he died.
