August 10, 1906, Crawford TownshipOn July 31st, about six o'clock p.m., Mr. John Linnane of Churchville died suddenly while sitting in his chair on the front porch reading a newspaper. Mr. Linnane was in failing health for some time but the sudden summons were quite unexpected.
John Linnane was an early settler and respected by all who knew him. His remains were interred in Calvery cemetery on August 2nd, and his funeral was one of the largest ever seen in this locality. May he rest in peace.
