Death of Mrs. Thompson

Mrs. N. D. Thompson died on Sunday, Oct. 18th, after an illness of only two days of catarrh of the stomach. Until Sunday morning she seemed to be improving, but was suddenly taken worse and passed away about noon. Her death came as a great surprise to her friends, many of whom did not even know of her illness.

Elizabeth A. Thompson, daughter of John and Rebecca Morgan, was born August 11, 1846, in Marion county, Ohio, and at the time of her death was 76 years, two months and seven days old.

She was married to Nathan D. Thompson in Earlham on April 8, 1873, and this has been their home since that time. Six children were born to this union, five of whom are living. Deceased was a loving wife and mother, kind neighbor and earnest Christian. She has been a member of Friends church since 1877. The members of the home thus broken have the sympathies of the entire community.

The funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church on Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Wright, and was largely attended. Interment was in Earlham cemetery.
