George Hartman, who has been in poor health for a long time, died Monday morning, November first about noon, at his home two miles north of Patterson in Crawford township.
Mr. Hartman had previously made his home in Audubon county, moving to his home in Crawford township four years ago.
For the last few months he had been in poor health and had been taken to Rochester, Iowa City, and other points for medical treatment. He was 67 years of age.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. J. Shenton at the home Wednesday morning at 9, after which the body was taken to Dedham, Carroll county, for burial.
He is survived by his wife and eight children: George of Pipestone, Minnesota, Arthur and Sidney of Patterson, Earl of Milford, Floyd of Spencer, Mrs. Katie Taggert of Audubon, Mrs. Isabell Dewal of Milford and Mrs. Mabel Olson of Patterson.
