M. JENNIE BAKER

M. Jennie Oldham was born in Muskugum county, Ohio., November 1st, 1855 and died in Winterset, Iowa, May 4th, 1906.

When about three years old her parents came to Madison county, Iowa, where she lived most of her life. June 4th, 1885, she was married to John L. Baker. Four children were born to them, three of whom are living and with the husband were with her during her illness.

At the age of sixteen she united with the Baptist church and remained a member until 1903, when living in Aurora, Nebraska, she took her letter to the Presbyterian church of that place, afterward bring it to the second Presbyterian church of Council Bluffs. The was an active earnest Christian woman and died in the hope of eternal life. For more than a year she had been suffering with a severe illness yet the end came rapidly at the last.

Services were held at the residence Sabbath afternoon, May 6th, by Rev. R. R. Marquis.
