John Amy died at his home near the West Star church Monday morning at 1:30 a.m., aged 56 years. The funeral occurred from the church Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Williams, after which he was laid to rest in the Stringtown cemetery. Mr. Amy has been a resident of Madison county for 49 years and will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends. He leaves behind to mourn his loss a wife and five children. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved family.

John B. Amy, of Douglas township, died at his home at one o’clock on Monday morning, from an attack of pneumonia. Burial was held at Stringtown cemetery on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased leaves a wife and several children.
