John W. Johnson, whose parents came to Madison county over fifty years ago, who grew to manhood here, was a volunteer soldier from this county and who married one of the Cracraft girls in Union township, died of measles last week at his home near Great Bend, Kansas, where he lived the past 30 years. His wife is still living.
