DONNA BROWN, St. Charles

Donna Brown of St. Charles, Iowa, entered eternity on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Donna had been a resident of Good Samaritan Nursing Home since January 2009.

Donna was owner/manager of the Roadside Inn, Martensdale, Iowa, for 35 years. Donna was also a long-time member of the New Life Family Worship Center in St. Charles, Iowa, prior to her illness.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Joseph E. Bradshaw, her mother, Thelma A. Bradshaw, brothers, Robert Neil, Billy Ross, and sisters Erma Mae, Leora, and Helen Bradshaw.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Dick L. Brown, and her children, Richard L. Brown (Christine) of Omaha, NE; Patricia A. Brown, St. Charles, IA; Stephen N. Brown (Stacey) of Independence, IA; Lisa J. Hraha (Willie) of Martensdale, IA; Micheal Brown (Montessa) of St. Marys, Iowa, and her sister, Thelma Jo Hampton of Madrid, Iowa. Donna also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors at Peterson Funeral Home, 602 E. Salem, Indianola, Iowa, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2009. Funeral services will be held at Martensdale Community Church at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2009. A luncheon will be served at the Martensdale Community Church following interment in the St. Charles cemetery.
