LINDA M. FEENY, WINTERSET

Linda M. Feeny, 58, of Winterset passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. A visitation with the family will precede services, beginning at noon, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Linda’s family. Linda was born Oct. 20, 1950, in Beach Grove, Ind., to the late Wilbert Schuck and Billie Tuttle Rupe. Following school, she moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where she met her husband, Joseph Michael Feeny, who was stationed there with the United States Marine Corps. They only knew one another for 24 hours when Joe asked her to marry him. Linda never said “yes” to his proposal, she just showed up.

Linda, a devoted wife and homemaker, lived life to the fullest and treasured her family and grandchildren. She believed strongly in God, and treated everyone how she wished to be treated.

She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Joseph Michael Feeny of Winterset; a son, David Rupe, of Indiana; a daughter, Sabrina McVay (husband, Nate), of Winterset; five grandchildren; Lil Mike and Melissa, both of New York; a brother, Larry Schuck, of Indiana; and her second father, Ike Rupe, of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jeannette Edwards, in 2007.
