On Thursday the people of this vicinity were startled by learning that Conrad Stuart, aged 77 years, a resident of South township, and living near Mr. N. Winship’s had hanged himself to a small tree in a grove near his residence, and that life was extinct at discovery. He was a permanent invalid and his mind was evidently unbalanced. He leaves an aged widow and a number of grown sons. The remains were interred in the King cemetery in Scott township.
Note: Date of death on grave marker is 1903.
