Almon Wright passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alf Pierce, on Wednesday, the 19, 1901. He was born in Bain, Vermont February 14, 1814, aged 87 years, 4 months and 4 days. Rev. E. A. Elliott read the 90th Psalm followed by a prayer by Rev. Young of Van Meter after which Rev. Elliott preached from the 3rd chapter of Deuteramony (typed as printed) and part of the 25th verse.

Mr. Wright was a patient sufferer, being confined to his rooms for the last 6 months and totally blind for 9 years. He was a true Christian, only waiting when he should be called to his home beyond.

The remains were interred in the Chapel cemetery beside his wife. He is mourned as a great personal loss to the family with whom he has made his home for so many years.
