While seated at the table at the poor farm last Sunday morning eating his breakfast, John Genn instantly expired. The deceased came to his death by organic trouble of the heart. He had also been a sufferer for a long time with asthma. He had been at the farm only 17 days and possibly had a small amount of the worlds goods.

He was of German decent and for a number of years had been a resident of this county and was known to a large number of our people. He was 77 years of age. The funeral occurred Monday morning and his remains were laid to rest in the McDonald cemetery near Patterson.
