Death of J. A. Morgan

J. E. Smith received a telegram on Wednesday morning, stating that his brother in law, J. A. Morgan of San Anselmo, Calif., had been killed by an automobile. The message said the Mr. Morgan’s skull was crushed and death came within an hour after the accident.

Mr. Morgan was once a resident of Winterset and a member of the firm of Morgan & McDill, furniture dealers here. He married Miss Harriet Smith and they moved from Winterset in 1882, living in Omaha before going to California. Mr. Morgan had a stroke of paralysis nearly two years ago. Mrs. Morgan, a daughter, Ethel and a son Ellesmere, are left to mourn him.
