Wm Salisbury
Wm. Salisbury was born in Adams county, Ohio, May 14, 1856. He came to Iowa in 1869, where he made his home in Iowa county for a time. He married Matha Ellen Cook in Ohio, Jan. 19, 1887. They lived in Illinois for several years and came to Iowa nine years ago.
There remain to mourn the sad departure of Mr. Salisbury, the good wife and three daughters: Mrs. Millie Holt of Lorimor, Mrs. Edna Misner and Mrs Certie Addy of Winterset. Mr. Salisbury had six brothers, two of whom, J. E. Salisbury of Patterson and Lemuel Salisbury of St. Paul, Minn., and one sister, Mrs. Vina Aldrich of Oelwein, survive him. He lived an upright, honest life.
He did his chores as usual last Wednesday evening, ate supper and soon after had an attack of heart failure, passing into the great beyond at 5:30 p. m., Feb 6, 1924.
Funeral services were held at the late home on Friday morning, Feb. 8th, Rev. M. L. Dewey officiating. Interment was made at Patterson in the cemetery adjoining the farm where Mr. Salisbury had lived for five years.
