Death of N. H. Weems

N. H. Weems died at his home in Webster township on last Friday. Mr. Weems and family moved here from Dallas county some years ago locating on a small farm ten miles southwest of Winterset. The husband broke down in health about four years ago and since that time has been confined to the house.

Funeral services were held at Oak Run church on Sunday and burial in the Welty cemetery.

MORTUARY

Mr. N. H. Weems who lived about ten miles southwest of Winterset, was born in Ohio in 1852, and died on the 15th of August, 1919, at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 1 day.

He was married to Miss Annie Harvey on the 2d day of December, 1885, and to this union was born five children, three boys and two girls. Two sons and one daughter are still living and were present at the funeral. He came with his parents to Jasper county, Iowa, in 1854, and with his family he came to Madison county in 1903.

He joined the Reorganized church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1897.

The funeral sermons was preached in the Methodist church near his place on the 17th day of August by Elder J. S. Roth of Lorimor, Iowa, an old time friend of Mr. Weems and family. The church was well filled with sympathizing friends of the family.
