At her home in this city last Sunday evening at 9:30 all that is mortal of Mrs. A. Baldock passed away. Mrs. Baldock has been an invalid, more or less, for several years, but recently has been enjoying good health. About six days prior to her demise she was taken bedfast with lung fever, which was the cause of her death. The deceased has for a number of years been a resident of this city and had many friends.

Letitia Ann Walkup, daughter of John A. and Nancy M. Walkup was born in Metcalf county, Kentucky Oct. 26th, 1839 and died at her home in Winterset, Iowa Dec. 23rd, 1900, aged 61 years 1 month and 27 days.
She was married to Dr. A. C. Baldock August 30th, 1861. To this union were born eight children, four sons and four daughters, seven of whom have preceded her to the spirit land.
She was converted in early girlhood and united with the Presbyterian church to which faith she adhered until death.
She leaves a husband, one son, one son-in-law, two granddaughters, one brother and three sisters to look forward to a reunion in the land of unending day.
She was a very happy and patient Christian though she was afflicted for many years and passed through many deep sorrows. She was an obedient daughter, a loving and self-sacrificing mother and sister, a kind and generous neighbor and a faithful wife. She leaves to her son and relatives the enduring legacy of an untarnished motherhood and a pure and beautiful character. We shall miss her, but our loss is her eternal gain.
