Deloris Dowler-Ries died Saturday at Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the St. Charles Cemetery.
Deloris is survived by her husband, Dick Ries of St. Charles; four sons, Merlin Dowler of Indianola, Randy (Rhonda) Ries of Bondurant, Rick (Shauna) Ries of Des Moines, Jeff (Julie) Ries of Des Moines; two daughters, Debbie Stiverson of Hollister, MO, Deb (Jim) Turner of Des Moines, IA; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl Sinclair, of Cherokee Village, AK.

DELORIS DOWLER-RIES, St Charles
Deloris Dowler-Ries, 75, of St. Charles died June 27, 2009, at the Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday, July 1) at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial was at St. Charles Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to her family.
Deloris Dowler-Ries was born May 28, 1934, in Des Moines and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Deloris was a member of the Osceola Red Hat Ladies and the Osceola Eagles Aerie 3495 Auxiliary of which she held many offices and was currently serving as president.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Merlin Dowler.
She is survived by her husband, Dick Ries of St. Charles; four sons, Merlin Dowler of Indianola, Randy Ries of Bondurant, and Rick Ries and Jeff Ries, both of Des Moines; two daughters, Debbie Stiverson of Hollister, Mo., and Deb Turner of Des Moines; a sister, Cheryl Sinclair of Cherokee Village, Ark.; and 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
