ROY COOPER, Winterset

Services for Roy Cooper, 89, of Winterset, who died at 5:30 a.m., Dec. 7, 1985, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, were held Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Burial was at McGinnis Cemetery in Patterson.

Born in Union Township, Madison County, he resided most of his life in Madison County.

He was married April 16, 1923 to Alice Mae Weber of Stuart. Of that marriage five children were born.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty A. Clark of Winterset; a son, Donald L. Cooper of Winterset; a brother, Henry of Melcher; two sisters, Gertrude Cline of Hiawatha, Kan., and Opal Huddleson of Winterset; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; two sons; a daughter, his parents; four sisters; two brothers; a grandson and a granddaughter.
