An Old Resident Gone

Mrs. Harriet Osborne, widow of Jed Osborne, died at her home in Walnut township in this county, Thursday, September 7, 1899. Mrs. Osborne at the time of her death was past 82 years of age. She left several children, among whom are G.M.D. and James Osborne and we believe one other son, and Mrs. H. R. Young of this county, and C. S. Osborne, of Dekalb, Mo.

The funeral services were held Friday, at the Methodisst church in East Peru.

Mrs. Osborne was born in New Hampshire, and lived several years in Knox county, Ill., coming to Madison county in 1856.

East Peru

Grandma Osborn was taken suddenly ill on the 3d and died on the 7th. Funeral services on the 8th in the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. S. Callison, Rev. Paul Gardner assisting.
