LEAH ANN CELLAN, Ames

Leah Ann Cellan, 54, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa. Services will be at 2p.m., Saturday, April 11, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.

Leah was born April 7, 1954 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd "Tex" Milburn and Ruth (Hibdon) Wagley. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1972. Leah was united in marriage to Alex Cellan at St. Charles, Iowa on August 12, 1972. She worked as a sale clerk at the Casey Store in Huxley for several years.

She enjoyed fishing; painting ceramic figurines; loved her pets and was a "Happy Go Lucky" person who found something good in everything.

Survivors include her husband, Alex Cellan, Sr. of Huxley; her father and mother: Floyd "Tex" and Ruth Wagley of Winterset, Iowa; two sons: Alex (Dawn) Cellan, Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa; Mark (Michelle) Cellan of Des Moines, Iowa; three daughters –in-law: Kathy Cellan, Penny Thiessen, and Melody Cellan; and five grandchildren.

Leah was preceded in death by a brother: David Wagley; two sisters: Carolyn Wagley and Ruth "Midgie" Wagley.

Memorials may be given to the Leah Cellan Memorial Fund.

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
