Glenn R. Reed, 74, of Winterset died March 8, 2009, at his home.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday, March 11) at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery with military honors performed by American Legion Post 184 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8142, both of Winterset. Memorials may be directed to the Foursquare Gospel Church in Winterset.
Glenn Reed was born April 29, 1934, in Madison County to Clyde and Edith (Huss) Reed. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1952 to 1956. His marriage to Bertha Louise Bailey took place Feb. 14, 1957, in Des Moines. Glenn was a pressman for Tension Envelope for 36 years. He also was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church in Winterset.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David; and two brothers, Jack and Paul.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha, of Winterset; two sons, Michael Reed and Mark Reed, both of Winterset; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
