Charles Bishop, the proprieter of the sast side billiard hall, died at his home in the south part of town early Monday morning, after a 10 day illness from uraemic poisioning. Within the past week his condition was thought to be much better and his death Monday morning came as a sudden shock to his family and friends.

The funeral services were held from the home on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased was married to Miss Mabel Macumber of Cascade, Iowa about four years ago. He is survived by his wife and little daughter, aged 2, and his aged parents, three sisters and two brothers, to whom the sympathy of the community is freely extended.

CHARLES BISHOP

Charles Bishop, the owner of the east side pool hall, died at his home in the east part of the city Saturday evening.

The young man had been a sufferer for several years from diabetes and his death was only a matter of time. He was a young man of considerable ability and had many friends in the city where he grew to manhood.

Charles Bishop at Rest.

After two weeks of suffering from Brights disease, Charles Bishop died at his home Monday at 12:30 a.m. The funeral occurred from the home Wednesday afternoon at four o’clock, conducted by Rev. Matheny under the auspices of the I.O.O.F. Lodge, and the remains were interred in the Rock City cemetery.

Charles Bishop was born in Winterset, Ia., Aug. 25, 1878 and died Aug. 14, 1905, aged 26 years 11 months and 14 days. He was married to Miss Mable Macumber at Winterset Aug. 15, 1901. He leaves behind to mourn his loss a wife and little daughter, father, mother, three sisters and two brothers. All of whom were present at the funeral except two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Hervey, of Wichita, Kan., and Miss Anna Bishop, of Los Angeles, Cal. Mrs. Bishop’s mother, Mrs. Mary Macumber and daughter Elsie, of Cascade, Ia. And Miss Jessie Macumber, of Hawarden, Ia. Were also present at the funeral.
