Mr. Roland, husband of Emma Krueger, formerly of this city, was shot and killed by the accidental discharge of a revolver which he was cleaning last Monday. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Roland was in Harlan.

A babe was born to them but a few days ago. Mrs. Krueger has been with her daughter for some time. Mr. Krueger went over the Rock Island Tuesday morning. Mrs. Krueger had been contemplating a visit to Winterset before returning to her home in Fort Madison.

Note: Abner is buried at the Harlan Cemetery, Harlan, Iowa.
