Frank F. Laurie, 83, died Saturday, August 30, 2003 at home. Services are 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 3 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Cummings.
Frank was employed with Iowa Concrete Products for 26 years as a Patcher. He served in the US Army in World War II. Frank was a member of Teamsters Local 90. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his wife, Mary Spain Laurie of Norwalk eight children, Jimmy of Avon, Tony of Des Moines, John and Danny of Norwalk, Tom, Steve and Donny of Des Moines and daughter, Frances of Des Moines 24 grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren and his sister, Joanne Simpson of West Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Elizabeth Laurie, who came from Italy a son, Bobbie Laurie.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Southtown Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family.
