COLLEEN CADE, MISSOURI

Colleen Fern Cade, 79, of Independence, Mo., died Nov. 19, 2008, at her home.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Nov. 30, at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. A private family burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery in rural DeSoto at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Colleen Cade was born Oct. 5, 1929, to Albert and Cecile (Keesey) Cade and was a graduate of DeSoto High School. Colleen was employed at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, retiring in 1991 after 35 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Virgil Cade and Junior Cade.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Marjorie Cade; a nephew, James Cade; and a niece, Jean Zell.
