Guy H. Wyant, son of William and Mary Wyant, was born November 16, 1901 in Henderson, Iowa and passed away January 10, 1969 at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines. He was 67 years of age.

As a young person he joined the Lutheran church.

On June 2, 1928 he was united in marriage to Elsie Veta Bigger at Chicago, Illinois.

For thirty years Mr. Wyant lived in Des Moines. During this time he worked in several businesses including a grocery, variety and hardware store which he owned. Later he moved to De Soto and operated a grocery there. Three years ago, because of health, he retired and moved to Earlham.

He was a member of the East Gate Masonic Lodge in Des Moines and later transferred to the Earlham Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother and a sister.

He is survived by his wife, Veta, of Earlham; by three brothers, Ben Wyant of Long Beach, California, Roy Wyant of Ida Grove and Elva Wyant of Rockwell City; by several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. at Fishers Funeral Home in Van Meter. Burial was in Highland Memorial Gardens, Second and Hobson Drive, Des Moines.
