Wednesday, November 13, 1918Death of MRS. KATE SCOTT
Mrs. Kate Scott died on Nov. 8th, 1918 at her home east of the Baptist church from chronic bronchitis, which had afflicted her for years. Burial services were held on Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Jackson Giddens.
Mrs. Scott was the daughter of the late Moses Baker, her life of 67 years being spent for the most part in Winterset. After the death of her father Mrs. Scott and her sisters lived with their mother until the death of the latter at an old age. She was devoted for many years to an invalid sister, and her many good qualities will be long remembered by friends who knew her well.
She leaves of her family, an elder sister, Miss Baker, who is in very poor health.
