H. L. Biglo died at his home in the west part of town last Monday night. He was a stranger in Winterset, having lived here only one week. He bought property of Mr. Finney and commenced housekeeping with his mother-in-law. Deceased was a native of New York, and about 50 years old. He moved to Iowa in 1868. His wife died some time ago. He had been suffering two or three years with diabetes, but it was not thought the end was so near. He was a member of Company I, 1st N.Y. Engineers. The remains were buried at Jefferson Center Wednesday, funeral services being held at the home by Rev. Jacobs. Mr. Biglo was a member of the U.B. church.

Hiram Bigelow, a resident of town and an old soldier about 60 years of age, died Monday night. He was buried at the U.B. church, in Jefferson township, this morning.
