John Logan, the 11-year-old son of John and Lydia Ann Hamilton, died at the home of his parents one mile north of Tileville, Monday evening, September 19th, of typhoid fever, and was buried at the McGinnis cemetery September 20th, at 2 o’clock p.m. The services were conducted by Rev. Elders, of St. Charles.
A very large crowd of friends assembled at the house. The floral decorations were very fine, and a procession about half a mile in length accompanied the remains to its last resting place. The pall bearers were Ernest Preston, Charles Palmer, Frank Gentry, Andrew Rallston, Will Maxwell and Charles Stanfield.
John Logan was a bright, winsome lad, and was beloved by all who knew him. Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton will have the heart-felt sympathy of a very large circle of friends in this their hour of deep sorrow.
