Obituary

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hays was saddened by the death of their little girl, Valeria Maud; born April 14, 1898, and died August 16, 1898; aged four months and two days.

Little Valeria had been ailing for two weeks, but was not thought dangerous. On Tuesday, August 15, she began to grow worse until about six o’clock, when she passed away.

The funeral was conducted by Rev. E. Wilson, of Red Oak. The parents have the sympathy of all their friends.

Fold her, O Father, in thine arms,
And let her henceforth be
A messenger of love between
Our human hearts and thee.

Note: Burial was made in the Worthington cemetery.
