Obituary
Nora Rees, daughter of Florence and John H. Rees, was born October 19, 1892, in Warren County, Iowa. She passed away March 29, 1965, at the Dexter Clinic hospital after a lengthy illness.
She spent her early years in Warren county and finished her schooling in Earlham.
She was married November 26, 1913, to Walter J. York, and to this union three children were born: Margery, Juanita, and Walter Lowell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, and by their infant son, Walter, and one great grandchild.
She is survived by her daughters, Margery (Mrs. Harold Trotter) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Juanita (Mrs. Richard Toler) of Redfield, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She has been a member of the Redfield Methodist church since 1930 and also of the Rebekah Lodge of Redfield. She was active in both organizations as long as her health permitted. She was a member of the Redfield Woman’s Society of Christian Service, the Ruth Circle and the G.R.A. Club.
Services were held at the Redfield Methodist church, Thursday, April 1, under direction of Fisher Funeral Homes. Interment was made at East Linn cemetery.
