From Kasson.

After a long and painful illness, Grandma Hamlin quietly passed away at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kirk, near Kasson, Friday evening, May 27th, at six o’clock. The messenger came tenderly and quietly and the tired, pain filled body was at rest even before all of the children in the vicinity could be summoned to her bedside.

Rev. Bertley conducted the funeral service Sunday at Kasson. The church was compactly filled, but could not accommodate all of the people who were anxious to hear. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers and evergreens, under the management of Mrs. C. H. Lewis.
