Pg 5Death of H. C. Wright
Mr. H. C. Wright, of East Peru, died very suddenly last Wednesday. It is reported that he was in his usual health up to the time of his death when he dropped dead while he was doing some work about his place. Death evidently resulted from some form of heart trouble.
Mr. Wright was one of the oldest dealers in general merchandise in this county, having been in the business since 1866. He was born in Brockville, Canada, in 1828, came to Iowa about 1850, and to Madison county in 1866, since which time he has resided in Walnut township.

East PeruThis community was shocked by the sudden death of H. C. Wright. He had been in unusually good health for a few days and at the time of his death was doing some light work about the barn. He had been in his store a half hour before his wife found him dead in the barn lot.
Note: Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
