Malcolm McBride died at his home in Jefferson township last Sunday of cancer of the bone, from which he had suffered for a long time, having had 22 operations performed for the malady. He was a native of Scotland and came to America when a boy. At time of death he was about 70 years old, and had always been a highly respected citizen. His wife died a number of years ago, and he had kept up his home ever since with his daughters. He was the father of L. W. McBride, well known here.

Mr. McBride, of Jefferson township, died Sunday night. He was a great sufferer, but was very patient until death claimed him for its own. He was over seventy years of age, and the last five or six years was spent in suffering. Mr. McBride will be greatly missed for he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He leaves four children to mourn the loss of father. The funeral services were held at the home and the remains interred in the Fairview cemetery. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones.
