Obituary

Addie E. (Hill) Pearson was born July 5, 1873 in Henry County, Iowa. She was the second daughter of Jesse W. and Priscilla D. Hill. On October 15, 1896 she was married to Charles M. Pearson. To this union was born one daughter, Eudora. Addie moved with her parents and brothers to Earlham when she was one year old.

She was a member of the Methodist church since 1896. She was president of the Ladies Aid and member of the Friendly Circle, and Sunday School.

On Armistice Day 1960 she was taken to the Garwood Nursing Home at Dexter. She died there November 10, 1962. She was buried in the Earlham cemetery beside her husband.

Addie was preceded in death by her sister, Eudora, her three brothers, Adelbert, Albert and Clinton, and her father and mother. She leaves one daughter, Eudora, of Earlham; one sister-in-law; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 12, in the Earlham Methodist church. Rev. Stephen Cree officiated. Music was provided by Mervyn McLennan accompanied at the piano by Mrs. McLennan.

Casket bearers were Edwin Kempe, Wayne Thomas, Wilbur Riser, Forrest Hibbs, Dale Mills and Fred Hunter.

Relatives and friends attended the service from Mitchellville, Adel, Des Moines and Winterset.
