Monday morning, Mr. H. M. Hayden, of this place, went to the barn to harness the horse, intending to visit a nephew. A short time afterward his wife went to the barn, found him lying on the barn floor dead; supposed to be a paralytic stroke, as he had one about three years ago and had never fully recovered from it.
Mr. Hayden is an old resident here, having lived here most of the time for about thirty years.
The family have the sympathy of the community in this terrible shock. Mr. Hayden had been well as usual and attended church on Sunday.
